BOSTON (NEWS1130) - The Canucks not only lost game six of the Stanley Cup finals 5-2 in Boston last night but they may have also lost forward Mason Raymond for a long time.

Raymond was hit by Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk on his first shift of the game in the first period and he did not return to the game.

In fact, Raymond left the TD Garden on a stretcher and spent the night in hospital.

Sportsnet is reporting that a source close to Raymond family is saying that he suffered a fractured vertebrae and is gone 4-6 months and he may not be ready when training camp starts next season.

Canucks GM Mike Gillis was very upset that there was no penalty call on the play.

The NHL says that there will not further review of the hit by Boychuk.

Jeff Tambellini is an option for the Canucks to replace Raymond in Game 7 tomorrow night in Vancouver

This is just fxxking stupid. Rome's hit on Horton was late as well, and Rome got handed a 5 min major and a 4 game suspension. Boychuk hit Raymond late as well, and Raymond is now out for at least a good couple of months. But no calls, penalties, or suspension of any sort on Boychuk.

WTF is the NHL and its stupid officials doing?

I am not a sore loser. If the Bruins played better than the Canucks, if Luongo doesn't man up and play like he is worth is $10M contract, I am fine with the Canucks handing the cup over to the Bruins. But if it is the stupid officiating that is costing us the Stanley Cup, I am not going to accept that.

Gary Fxxking Bettman is a fxxking toxic asset for the whole league.

NHL does not want Canucks to win. They want more Americans to watch NHL. So commericalized.

It's totally rigged. Not to mention that Nathan Horton is actually back, walking around in the locker room by Game 4...

That is why Gary Fxxking Bettman is a fxxking idiot. Who gives a shxt about watching hockey in the US except for a few selected hockey towns? Killing the Jets and moving them to the middle of a dessert makes zero sense. Barring a team in Hamilton where it would see a significantly larger fan base also makes zero sense.

Are you kidding? There are more American hockey fans than the total Canadian population. As a percentage of population, there are not as many American hockey fans, but there are more American fans in absolute numbers.

They will rig game 7 for a Vancouver win to satisfy the Canadian viewers.
Canadian $ is strong, NHL is moving back to Winnipeg. Its been a while a Canadian team won the cup.
