hey guys, a million HK dolloars is not such a big amount as you thought nowadays in HK.  Especially the woman got a quite old husband and a kid who still has a long way to make his own living.  Can you imagine how much this family spending evey month just for rent, electricity, water, fuel, food, clothing, transport and the child's education?  How much the woman need to earn to maintain the family's baisc living?  If she doesn't work, a million dollar can be used up in a few years.  Also, the interest rate is near to zero that you can not get any interest for keeping money in a bank.
