I think is not the health system, it is the culture that everyone like to sue the others to look for damages. It is the insurance and lawyers jack up the cost.

Right, malpractice is one of the reasons for skyrocketing costs, but it's never the biggest driver. Because providers are paid by fee for service, they give a lot of unnecessary procedures so they can charge more. Then you have the billions of profits that the insurance companies are making every year. Physicians are charging higher rates because they need to repay their student loans at Harvard and John Hopkins. And then you add on fraud, unhealthy lifestyles, expensive prescriptions and what not, you have the shxthole that exists in the US now.

Your believe in teacher's raise will just encourage the already sick system even worst.  3 years later, sure they will ask for another 15 or 20%.  Realistically, Do we have that much money?  or should the money use in elsewhere wisely?  U think about it.  NOt just protecting your teacher or  your own job.

The teacher union is a double-edge sword. It penalizes the good teachers (who deserve the good pay) while awarding the bad teachers (who should be fired).
Quite frankly, something should be done to fix this.
