Are you sure it is just duty?  Once they hit on your package, you will get GST, PST and duty from the government; then the shipping company likely will charge you brokerage and sometime disbursement and other delivery charges.

For UPS and Fedex, if you ship by air, instead of ground/surface, brokerage charges are including and often by air is cheaper.  Not sure about DHL.
