About Telus Contract

I'm a 10 Yrs+ Telus customer and have another 18 months contract to go. If I swtich to GSM system, will Telus let me go with one or two months service charges penalty or the rule to finish the contract is very strict ?
Any LYK can share his/her experence with me ?

the rule is strict. even if you are early by 1 day...there goes $100 from your pocket.

But I prefer to keep my number after moving to GSM.

Are you moving to Rogers? Are they going to match your Telus contract?

No, I haven't started to compare Roger or Fido. If Telus doesn't let me go or charge me more than $100, I have to stay with Telus until next Summer.
