My old car tried similar situation, very ocassionaly. Only if i don't roll it all down, say only roll down 90%, then surely no problem to roll it up again.

has the window been coming up VERY slowly? it's the weather strip that he has to replace, happens a lot when it gets harden, u dun want to damage the motor cuz of that

try to power wash it and see if you got a lot of dirt coming out from the belt molding etc, have seen many cases just because ppl dun wash it often enough and hasn't cared so much about the details area during wash...

no, the window was rolling fine... at regular speed.

now we have another problem, teh driver's side door won't open... i guess we might have messed up with the lock or something... but we saw everything were intact.....

okay check behind the handle there should be a linkage with a plastic clip that holds the linkage in, if u dun clip that back in, or it's broken during removal; then after opening it once or twice it will stop working ga la...

or, ur dad has simply just break the handle...

yeah, there's a plastic clip... he broke it....
