they always over filled the engine oil, that why I like to diy my cars oil change, I do used the Fram oil filter and reused the drain plug washer. so far nothing happen.

try to change ur drain plug washer every other time, if not every time; u might not see leak but crushing the drain plug washer too much can possibly damage the threads too...

have seen diff cars coming back after 5000km with regular castrol oil / motul synthetic, seems like using oem oil filter (or had friend using K&N, works great but see if u think that's worth the "EXTRA" money) can keep the oil in good colors better...

they are not that bad (if u get the double guard or sth, orange one with black top); but i think oem one is still what it's meant for your car...
