i dont know if this is the right thread to post but anyway.. i just got a fine ticket from i forgot which company.. but i was at the HSBC on Cook Road... i got a ticket saying that the spot i parked wasn't for HSBC customers.
i was about to pay for the ticket today because it says on the ticket paying within 30 days or something you get a discount. I just found that i've lost the ticket. now that i only know i've a ticket to pay for but i do not remember the amount, do not know the ticket number nor the company who sent me the ticket.
i actually went there to buy some stuff, and i found that i dont have cash... so i went to HSBC to get some cash.. once i got out from HSBC, i've already got the ticket saying that the parking spot is not for HSBC customers. a$$hole.
small tip for you.
Just go back to that place. Look at the signs above you and write down the phone number/parking company name.
Then don't pay yet. Do this. Call them up and say you got a ticket on _____ day and your license plate is _____. Then say that you were a customer of that mall. They will likely ask you what you bought/did there. Just say you went to some restaurant there. If they ask for receipt, just say its not common to issue receipt for asian places. You might be able to get it off if its your first time.
Happened to me before @ Aberdeen. Parked over 3 hours. They gave a ticket. I called and said I actually went to Parker Place and went back. They asked for receipt of buying @ Parker Place. I said Chinese BBQ Places don't give those. Ticket cancelled.
if it is a private company, just forget about it la
the only thing they can do is to tow away your car next time you park @ there lot, but they won't do it unless you owe them lots of $$

if i dun pay the ticket, will it affect my credit rating or sth
no they can't affect your credit rating. they are not even legal to ask you money in the first place.
