Comeon, it is the printer company's problem. These stupid companies had years before Windows Vista was released to write new drivers for Vista. But they were too lazy to do it, but they put the blame on Microsoft instead of themselves.

Below is my conversation with the customer service (CS) of the printer maker(simplified verson):

Me: I bought your printer. Is it your responsibility to provide me a driver that competible to Vista?
CS: It is Vista stopping our driver to install. It is Microsft's problem. Please contact Microsoft for the solution.

Me: If I cannot install the printer, then I have to return the product. Will it be your problem now?
CS: I am very sorry, but if you have to return it, then you might have to do that.

it sounds like u have a bad vista install, all post 2006 printer works fine with vista.
