T&T 九元一磅,可以啦.
唐人街約八元一磅的吋東姑,花姑就要二十元,不算太貴路.

八元一磅,有幾多?

八元最平ma? right?

One pound of mushroom is a lot. You only need 10-15 pieces at the most for an average family portion dish (for 4 people).
You can go to any 'hoi may' shop and buy as many pieces of mushrooms you need. It's just like buying oranges and apples in a supermarket. You will see some plastic bags at the entrance of the shop. Take one of the those bags and go to the large bins where the mushrooms are displayed. You can pick as many you like. No problem if you just pick, say, 10 pieces. Then go ahead to the cashier and he/she will weigh the mushroom and tell you how much to pay. Even if you are buying the most expensive ones, those 10 mushrooms will only cost you a few bucks.
The cashier most probably won't ask, but if you are asked why you buy so few, you can promptly answer that you want to try them first before you'd buy more next time.
For me, I'd answer because I only cook for myself.
