It could be purple laver, some fish mongers may sell it to you.
The fishermen harvest the lavers at the pristine shoreline of Saltspring Island, along with sea asparagus,Samphires, sea lettuce, sea haricot verte and sell them to upscale restaurants, i.e. La Belle Auberge, C Restaurant and Umberto's. Mark Hill's sell Samphire, I don't know if they sell purple lavers as well |
