[日本料理] Review (Omakase Type) 日本料理 to prevent Rip-off

本帖最後由 applekiwi 於 2009-4-11 13:09 編輯

Recently some of us have tried some Omakase Type Japanese Restaurant which "entrust" the chef to choose the dishes for us. They usually charge very expensively.

I think we wouldn't mind sometimes to spend the money and have a good time and some good memory, esp on some special occasion. If we spend the money, we have expectation on the quality of food and service. We would complain a little bit if it is not worth it and never go again. But if the Rip-off is too much. I think we should report and prevent more of our friends being rip-off, especially when the price range go up to $60 - $100 per person.

I wish people can post (Omakase Type) Jap Restaurant here and give us some review and comment. Can be good review not just rip off and bad one. I know this is subjective but at least there is a reference. For me I am interested in a number of area:

1. cost of ingredient (use expensive or common item ? or ...etc )
2. quality of ingredient (live? fresh? use high grade meat? ...etc )
3. taste of food ( I know this is subjective .... )
4. presentation ( fancy? rough? detailed? shape? ...etc )
5. cooking technique ( skill? difficult to make or prepare?)
6. service (you usually notice if it's bad ...)

Thanks in advance everyone

I thought you should be the first one to post a review. You sounded like to have been ripped off by one of them?!?!

Is it a rip off? it is subjective. May be it is just over-priced
