What should I do now ??

Hi there

Just won a used Wireless N Netcard with winning price of US $ 26.00 and paid US $ 11.00 postage from USA and due to some unforeseen circumstances, the seller ended up to ship my winning item by UPS ground. Of course, I don't want to pay the ridiculous “brokerage” charges.

May I know what should I so ??

(1) Can I ask the seller to call USP and tell UPS Canada I will doing your own customs clearance ?

(2) Retrun the whole thing to the seller and ask the seller to ship by non UPS ground method ?

Please advise.

Have them declare it under $20 and you won't be charged brokerage fees

yes, you can call UPS to clear at custom yourself, then u can avoid the brokerage fees and just pay the tax

According to CBSA you don't have to pay customs and taxes if the value of the item you receive is less than $60 Cdn, if you are using regular mail service such as USPS.

However, I am unsure if UPS will charge you brokerage if the value is below $60.  Personally I avoid using UPS because of their stupid brokerage fee... it's a ripoff.
