What are your bets? I'm talking about the biology of being male and female not medically induced transvestite. Hermaphrodite is someone with both male and female genitals.

Newspaper says South African runner has male, female sex organs
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

PrintSYDNEY - World 800-metre champion Caster Semenya of South Africa has male and female sexual organs, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Friday, posing an ethical and political quandary for world track and field's ruling body.

The Herald said extensive physical examinations of the 18-year-old runner ordered by the IAAF have shown she is technically a hermaphrodite.

The Canadian Press - Sep 10, 5:56 pm EDT 1 of 2 Gallery Medical reports indicate she has no ovaries, but rather has internal male testes, which are producing large amounts of testosterone.

The newspaper said the IAAF was trying to contact the athlete to inform her of the results.

After dominating her race at the world championships in Berlin last month, Semenya was given blood and chromosome tests as well as a gynecological examination.

"This is a medical issue and not a doping issue where she was deliberately cheating," IAAF spokesman Nick Davies was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

"These tests do not suggest any suspicion of deliberate misconduct but seek to assess the possibility of a potential medical condition which would give Semenya an unfair advantage over her competitors. There is no automatic disqualification of results in a case like this."

The IAAF has said Semenya would probably keep her medal because the case was not related to a drug matter. But the Herald said an alternative possibility was to award a second gold to the runner-up, Janeth Jepkosgei from Kenya.

The funny thing is, I remember reading that people with gender changes are allowed to compete in their respective gender (the one they've changed to) category after 2 years of the operation as long as they remain on hormonal medication (which is pretty much a must for those with gender change). In light of that, why should Semenya be barred from future competitions as a woman?

南非金牌跑手雌雄同體
南非跑手塞曼亞上月以壓倒性優勢勝出女子八百米賽跑，惹來性別疑雲。有報章引述國際田聯消息人士透露，塞曼亞被驗出同時有男女特徵，但沒有卵巢和子宮，卻擁有睾丸，顯示她是雙性人，國際田聯已打算禁制她參賽。

澳洲《每日電訊報》引述消息人士報道，國際田聯對塞曼亞的性別檢驗已經完成，全面報告預期於日內公開。消息人士透露，她被驗出是雌雄同體，沒有子宮和卵巢，反而擁有睾丸。報道指國際田聯準備取消她將來的參賽資格，但未打算褫奪她上月在德國柏林贏得的八百米賽跑金牌，因這不是禁藥事件。國際田聯又會建議塞曼亞盡快接受手術，因其身體狀況或會危害性命。

話說 C 拖著倦透的身軀回到家中﹐放下公事包﹐脫下一身的領帶和西裝﹐長長地嘆了一口氣之後﹐他緩緩地走進浴室﹐把花灑開得最大﹐沖洗一身的疲累。。。

包著浴巾的他離開浴室向著 KING SIZE 的雙人床走去﹐沿途經過連身鏡﹐看著自己的倒影﹐再環顧自己擁有的這棟3000尺位於 DOWNTOWN 的房子﹐他甜甜地笑了。。。仿彿剛纔疲累的3小時的會議都是值得的﹐一切都是值得的。。。單身男人雙人床又怎樣﹖ 最少我花費得起窩﹐才三十上下的人便﹐擁有這許多﹐大把銀行存款﹐又供養父母﹐我覺得自己真的不賴﹐那些女人太沒眼光了。。。
