No wonder vancouver/richmond Chinese eateries are getting worse and worse.

Many operating restaurants actually are still hiring chefs!

WTF? Who's cooking inside their kitchens?

應該登響 HK 報章﹐叫 HK 的廚師黎﹐包移民﹐應該唔難請遮。。。

ACC 可唔可以單聲邊張報紙﹖ 或者邊幾間請緊﹖ 等我近期唔好去呀。。。

I looked up the yesterday MingPao after reading your post. Yes, so many of the well known Chinese restuarants are looking for cooks. What happend to the ones they currently have? And who are cooking in the kitchen? Hopefully not the waiter or waitress. i heard from a friend that she was forced to make 扬州炒饭 once and she was only working as a waitress.

會唔會他們的廚師準備走咋﹐例如有D公司﹐員工遲左職﹐都 30 日後先正式可以走啦。。。所以廚房仍然係那些廚師﹖﹖

That is a possibility, but when u look at the newspaper, you'll see a lot, a mean a LOT of restaurants hiring chef's...!

我也聽過餐廳老闆說過﹐D 廚太貴﹐成三千幾蚊個月﹐所以可能夠錢請他們幾個月﹐學晒D野就自己 (老闆) 煮﹐所以點解好多餐廳開業時 OK﹐之後唔掂囉。。。

1. newspaper might give some restaurant big discount if they post long term because can you imagine a newspaper with only few classified ads?

2. Some restaurant posted and they pretended they want to hire someone so they can use skill visa to have someone to come to Canada.

3. If the cook did not own or have part of the shares of the restaurant, it is easily for other restaurant to lure them away...
