Someone highly endorse it and they claim to use no MSG, I tried it twice,
it is alright but nothing special either, I did detect MSG. since my system is
very sensible to MSG. The price is quite reasonable and it is clean.

I found they are all the same but as long as I cannot detect MSG inside the soup and I am happy. Another reason why I like this restaurant was that they have noodle soup for non-beef eater such as my wife: "chicken variety noodle soup."

I tho all Pho restaurants have chicken noodle soup as well. btw... howz the rice noodle in the pho at this place across from save-on? They used to be good but we went a few times (1 or 2 years ago?!) and found that they switched to a "rougher" and "hong" tasting noodle. We stopped going since then.

tip: add some spring roll sauce (mostly... fish sauce) on "hong" tasting noodle can neutralize a lot of the yucky taste.

Pho Queen (Capstan Way, Richmond) soup is oil-free, but very flavorful...and I believe it should be msg-free.

i almost got overdosed with msg at 泰山..couldn't finish half of my bowl
asian 54 on kingsway is pretty good..well..was good...i heard it closed down recently =(

BUT when I go to a Vietnamese restaurant for a Vietnamese pho, I want the right soup.
Same as:
When I go to a Chinese restaurant for a Chinese noodle soup... I don't want a Vietnamese beef soup base!!!

If they are not using any MSG, They may put beef powder instead of using beef bones.

Tried 綠Lemon Grass in Richmond today. I think they recycle food. This is what happened:

Ordered a Vietnamese Chicken Salad and a 香茅雞飯. They came with 2 small bowls of Vinaigrette. They were essentially the same thing but one of them had small droplets of solidified fat (small participation of fat in the size of a sesame). It is like if you refrigerate chinese chicken soup, fat bits flows on top. The other bowl of vinaigrette was clear. And the waitress claimed the fatty one was for the salad.

Go figure.  It looks gross so we did not use it.

And the pieces of chicken in the salad were in 2 different color. Some pieces were white color like 手C雞.  The other pieces were in a darker brown color.  And most importantly, they all did not taste fresh at all.  Again did not eat them.

The 香茅雞飯 is ok but the bbq chicken color (skin) is orange red.  It is like chinese 叉燒. Kind of weird.

I did not try pho but there is no way I will go again.

Couple of my friends recommanded this place and I was about to have a try.

After reading this, I think I will forget this place.

I've tried and I think they are good, it's only Oncinc thinks that they recycle food.
Chicken has white and dark meat, so, it's not rare.
Try once for yourself and don't go back if you don't like.

When people complain we fight here and there, at least we fight "in person" with hearts and input. Now people should know what is actually worse and the worst!
