I went to see walkin doctor the night before and over-heard two people asked to get h1n1 shots.

I had both shots on Nov 16. No choices to say no because my work has sent a memo to all the staff that if we catch the flu while we are not vaccinated, we will not get sick pay =(

I was debating if I shall take the H1N1 but when I went to get my regular shot, I ended up just getting the H1N1 shot the same time...

手臂痛只係閑事﹐只屬正常﹐但我響醫院見到有D病人﹐話打完引發心臟問題﹐與及其他病痛﹐所以若早有病的人打﹐其實可能更危險呀

【明報專訊】加拿大公眾衛生局首席公眾衛生醫官巴特勒－瓊斯醫生(Dr David Butler-Jones)周三說﹐政府推行大型甲型H1N1流感疫苗運動﹐迄今證實有24宗全身過敏反應案例﹐其中1人在打針後死亡。

巴特勒－瓊斯周三與衛生部長阿盧卡克(Leona Aglukkaq，右圖)在渥太華召開記者會﹐報告甲流疫情。

巴特勒－瓊斯說﹐全國各地社區的甲流新病例似乎開始減少。「我們說病例開始消退﹐因為在大部分社區﹐呈陽性結果的檢查減少﹐學校報告的甲流病例也有減少。」他指出﹐北美洲部分國家都有類似情況。不過﹐在過去幾個星期﹐人們因流感一類病徵求診﹐人數比季節流感期這個時候的多﹐大約多4到7倍。目前不能宣布甲流疫潮已成過去﹐因為甲流不會在同一時期肆虐所有社區。

加拿大和美國的衛生人員都說﹐聖誕節和感恩節假期快到﹐人們外遊﹐與親友一同慶祝佳節﹐應該採取預防措施﹐防止甲流。巴特勒－瓊斯建議民眾注意個人衛生﹐例如洗手﹔咳嗽或打噴嚏時用衣袖掩臉﹔接種疫苗。

阿盧卡克報告甲流疫苗運動的進展﹐她說﹐到本周底﹐加拿大各省﹑地區分發到1,500萬劑甲流疫苗﹐可為一半人口打防疫針。到目前為止﹐已有四分一的人口接種甲流疫苗。

巴特勒－瓊斯提到甲流疫苗造成的不良反應﹐指出24 宗確認全身過敏反應病例﹐有1人死亡﹐那是魁北克省1個80多歲的男子﹐暫時未知死者本身有沒有其他症候。

巴特勒－瓊斯又說﹐統計那24宗打不良反應病例﹐可推算疫苗的不良反應比率﹐每10萬人接種疫苗﹐就有0.32宗不良反應病例。

全身過敏反應是嚴重的反應﹐可能造成呼吸道閉塞﹐有奪命之虞﹐患者必須馬上使用腎上腺素。他指出﹐不少加拿大人容易感染甲流﹐估計5到10%的人口已患甲流。

他說﹐到11月14日為止﹐那個星期的新增住院甲流患者有1,674人﹑261人進入深切治療病房﹑84人死亡。直到本周二﹐加拿大有279宗實驗室證實甲流死亡病例。

my bf and i went to see dr yesterday cuz we are sick (no, not h1n1, just bronchitis), dr said we should get h1n1 shot once we cure from our current sickness. i asked about seasonal flu shot and he said i dont need one cuz i'm usually healthy and dont have any chronic disease

I would suggest everyone do some research on the Adjuvants before blindly taking the shot...

Adjuvant:
DL-α-tocopherol 11.86 milligrams/0.5mL dose
Squalene 10.69 milligrams/0.5mL dose, b (hint: Gulf War Syndrome)
Polysorbate 80 4.86 milligrams/0.5mL dose (hint: anaphylactic shock)

There's also the preservative content- 5μg Thimerosal USP per 0.5mL dose or 2.5 micrograms organic mercury (Hg) per 0.5mL

I got flu shot and H1N1 shot on the same day.... arm and whole body sore for 3 days!
I was super tired for 2 days. (slept 10hrs+) I was like having a mini flu.....
