Where is a good place to buy Cake Certificate?

mine was from there too!

Bought from Anna's cake house. "Aunt" (who came here for long time...) likes Anna's cake a lot...

I brought mine from 金磨坊, not only their cakes, and their buns are good too.

where is 金磨坊 ?  We are going to get ours from Anna.

they have 2 stores...one in richmond, the same mall as Staples...the other one is in Vancouver....granville and 64th ave (around there)...there's a restaurant called "hung sing"

金磨坊 is good, but might not be a good idea for wedding's 餅咭.

We picked Maxim's because it's everwhere, most of our relatives would know where to get their cakes.

Quite surprise that many loyaukee received or will give out 金磨坊's card. I haven't got any 金磨坊's cake card myself....I received Anna the most...then Maxim. I don't mean 金磨坊 is bad though...

I bought mine from "Dai Fook" and also "Maxims" for my wedding ceremony. You may negotiate for a 10% or more off if you reach certain amount of cards purchase so make sure you know the total # of cards purchased before you inquire about discounts.

金磨坊's cakes are very good.  I can say it is one of the best among all Chinese operated cake shops.  However, their buns are just so so (maybe worse than a number of others depending on your preferences).  I agree that having only 2 locations are the most inconvenient part la...

Is Saint Germain good?

can I use T&T gift cert. instead??

Give cake out is a tradition, if you give T&T gift card, that breaks the traditional culture

I see... coz i was thinking, there's bakery at T&T too plus u can get other stuff you really need...
thanks for telling!

Cakes from Saint Germain are nice too, but does anyone know what is their price range?  Cuz I think SG is usually a bit more expensive than other cake shop.  Or how about "君悅"?

Saint Germain:
$12 each
10% off with purchase of 10+
20% off with purchase of 50+

Why is T&T different from other "western" or "chinese-western" cake shops? If you really want to go for the original Chinese 嫁女餅 tradition, you should look for a real Chinese cake shop that carries 紅菱酥、黃菱酥、白菱酥、合桃酥、蛋黃蓮蓉酥及雞蛋糕 la.

Well, as I said, it's gonna be untraditional western cakes instead of Chinese ones anyways. Why is it a problem for the guests to get a bag of rice or a pound of crab?

how about 凱悅餅廊?

If your parents and future don't mind, you can do whatever you want.
