Recently I'm more into colouring with copic markers. Any copic users here? Want to share place to buy (because they are freaking expensive ....at least to me) or other experience with copic?

I started to learn how to use copic to colour hair after I buy the new HA stamp. It does look like those manga but I need at least 3 marker for hair...and if I need more colour for other body , then the "investment" is quite huge...

My first copic attempt. (Hero Art stamp and Memento black ink)
I made lot of effort on the hair so I became too exhausted to match colour for the dress....

Also I use normal card stock so bleeding happens...I think if I use special card stock for marker then bleeding may not happen...

I use copic marker to color my anime drawings before..*back in my high school years...* lol
I remember UBC bookstore used to sell those too..and indeed they are expensive...i think around $4 or 5 each? couldn't quite remember... I got a set at home.. around 60 colors (from Japan) but can't remember where I have put it after I moved... >< I stopped using copic marker..coz I was crazily addicted to "oekaki" during my university years =P now u make me want to find my set of copic marker and start to play around with it XD

If I can find $4, $5 each for sketch then I will go right away la...some places sell $7-$9... >_<

Rainy, people use copic marker to colour Japanese anime drawing. Or in the stamping world, can use it to colour stamp image. Because copic blends in well, the image pops out more.

I purchased my copic markers from Granville Island's "I Am Impressed". It was $7.99 which I think is pretty average. I just like going there because every $10 you spend there gets a stamp and after 10 stamps you get $10 off. I figured if I m going to spend the money, might as well get some money off my future purchases.

I went to DeSerres store on Broadway and Granville. They have Copic Ciao marker and it's about $4.xx each. (Ciao is the cheaper line and hold less ink, but it's alright...)

I'm starting to use mine. I was thinking of getting the sets in HK crafts stores. Those big box set were only sold for HKD$1100-$1200. And the 12 coloured ones were around $300-500. Here in Vancouver are sold like crazy!

haha at the end I final got like around 30-40 random color copic sketch for my frd's bday
lol because I ask a frd 2 buy it in HK... lol I think around $37HK each... n the store didn't even have that much color lol... so at the end have 2 find it in 2 store... lol
but I cannot tell which generation are them... lol...
I think is the 2nd lol... but yeah... like it a lot...
I keep a few for myself... LOL

I bought also a few copics in HK, BUT...turn out 2 of them are DRY. Copic is not supposed to be dried up in YEARS...so I don't really know how long those markers were in the store.

Btw, I found a online store that sell copic for good price. Don't know if I post before. They sell not only copic. Great customer service too.

debating should buy generation 1st 2nd or 3rd... copic sketch lol...
Well... using the cheap korean TOUCH marker now... Happy with it... so far so good...

It's been ages since I do sit down and spend time on card making.
Here's one to share with you...

Try my new distress marker to colour the rose. I thought it would be easier to use (because it blends with water) but turn out not as easy. My colouring is just so bad. I really shouldn't make a card with something I try out the first time. Should have practised first, oh well.

Material:
Rose stamp (cling) from Heroarts.
Sentiment and the label punch from SU.
Distress marker tattered rose, spun sugar
Others: Heart sticker from HA, Nastabilities Spellbinders butterfly punch from Martha Stewart.
