I'm definitely a ramen fans. I've been there several months ago and it was good. but then my friends told me it's no longer worth to go now.作者: low_B 時間: 2010-1-28 20:17

Menya is quite good. However, there are a couple of things you need to keep in mind when comparing it to Kintaro, Benkei, and Motomachi.
1) While the tonkotsu broth between Kintaro, Benkei, and Motomachi somewhat similar in flavour, the tonkotsu broth at Menya is distinctly different in taste. I am not a ramen expert by any means, but I do like Japanese ramen a lot, and I suspect the different taste is due to variations in regional flavours. Note that the taste is just different, not necessarily better or worse. Do expect a good base broth at Menya, but don't expect it to taste the same as Kintaro, Benkei, and Motomachi.
2) Their portions are smaller, and they only give you 1 piece of cha siu. But at the same time, they are cheaper as well (I think only $7 for a miso ramen), so it kind of works out.
3) If you still have plenty of soup left when you're done with your ramen, I think you can order a second serving of ramen (but ramen-only) for $2 or $3.
