Newegg.ca is running a promo for a 1.8" Intel X18-M SSD kit for $218. Comes with Intel X18-M 80GB SSD, 2.5" enclosure for laptop HDD, and external USB enclosure.
The performance of the X18-M is the same as the X25-M. It is the G1 version and there is no TRIM support, therefore if you want to make some good useful life out of it, you will need to constantly image and restore the HDD. Otherwise, it will probably give you 5+ years of life.
