The trend is more toward floral nd birdie cake topper, or even NONE. Check this site out and you can see a lot of real weddings that might give you some inspirations. http://www.stylemepretty.com/
If you are looking for those crystal initial cake toppers, last time I have seen them online are close to $100 USD each. You can technically DIY that on your own though, it's not difficult to make. i once went to the walmart in the states close to 202 and saw their wedding stuff section. i think they are pretty nice. classic style cake toppers were available along with other stuff like books for signage, feather pens, ring pillows etc etc. mostly they were the simple white classic style stuff. but they're not crystal though. they're decent looking and cheap in price but not cheap looking. i've seen something similar from sears here (ring pillow with feather pen and book) and it's like $80....
