最近和一個在香港做生意很久的太空人朋友談起, 他說加拿大的僱員多數是月薪的，就算是餐館的企枱員工也是月薪制。他在香港的營商經驗不用置疑，但加拿大的情況我就想跟老友記們引正一下。

並請註明那一類行業，不用太精確，以保私險隱。

我是製造業。

If you get OT pay for every extra hour you work, then essentially you are on hourly wage.  So a monthly salary would only apply to those who work in industries where OT pay is not customary.

Unless you get paid for the whole year even if you quit now, otherwise you are either hourly or non-hourly.

Annual wage still need to pay maximum every 15 days, that's by law.  Or you can sue your employer when you quit.

我日薪，自己帮自己算的，一周上班七日，想什么时候休息什么时候休息，lol

我昨天忽然联想到一个问题，如果一个月薪来计的职员在一个只有28日的月份里面岂不是比一个按时薪或者日薪算的职员多赚了很多

目前还是大学4年级学生，也有自己的工作，按工作性质来算我应该被归类到自雇人士吧，按收入高低来算我应该被归类为老板 just kidding

社会上有很多种不同性质的工作，真正要找到上限性不强的，多半从生意经营里面找，隐形的生意最赚钱，我认识有朋友10年内赚了5幢房子但是office一直是在家里，就一个名片和一张简单的公司注册纸搞定

When you think there is some benefit for monthly paid job, actually there is also some disadvantage la. Such as there is no precise hour count each day, employees may need to work OT without extra pay ga, the compensation could be take a day off the other day or stuff like that. Owners are not stupid la.

    Of course not that high pay la...not HK wor...
OT..no such thing...
contract? it's not by "contract" wor...just like...for example ...u get paid 30K annually...that means each pay cheque will get 30K / 24 (if pay bi-monthly).
