Do you think the earthquake in the world lately is too often too much?

I have lost track of this year earthquakes.

Can someone plot us a time line?

I remember reading a Chinese geology / earthquake specialist saying that given the larger number of earthquakes in recent years, it is safe to conclude that the Earth has entered into a period of more frequent and more intense tectonic plate movements, and we can continue to expect more frequent quakes around the world.

There are earthquakes happening everyday, at least 50 everyday world wide.  Some are small, some are big.  Most people don't know b/c they don't occur near cities.
