I found out where it is. It's a very small store. They carry a very small selection of toys, basic supplies etc. However, more expensive then Tisol, Petsmart, etc. for the exact same products. I just so happen to see the same product went on big sale at Tisol but it's more than Tisol's regular price. I can't help but relate they purchased on sale and sell at this store. That's just a thought that flashed through my mind though...

Also, big stores always have a very good refund/exchange policy. I am not sure about this one but for such a tiny store, their overhead is got to be more expensive thus, may not do refunds. I feed my dog raw diet so I won't buy dry kibbles from this place. But if you choose to, I suggest double check if they get their supplies directly from manufacturers who will back up their products and take refunds

They have some pretty cute outfits.

Their grooming is more expensive than others by approx $10+. The owner was very "hard-sell" as if all the things that he's doing and other groomers don't, ie: nail-cutting -_-". He also suggest us to take our dog for grooming 3x / month!!!!!! I said: "Is that neccessary?". Then he said: "...maybe at least once every 2 weeks...3....1.5 mths..."

Well, if the owner say he's so good, then I'll give them a try so I can give the grooming a review.

Took my puppy to this place today. I was very impressed afterward. My puppy was very happy. He was clean, handsome looking, and well taken cared of! Even between the toes were all clean and trimmed! He even took the time to give us some pointers on home care and cleaning Chico. I think it was worth the cost.

He owner wasn't hard-sell anymore this time. Maybe he saw this post?
Anyway, will sure take my puppy back to him again!

beware of overbathing your puppy. it's not very good for his skin.
作者: zuesel    時間: 2010-7-26 09:03

no worries, i won't bath him too much. He's shedding excessively right now due to change of coat. Keeping it short actually is better for him and us coz he at his hair balls and start to poo and throw up. Will try try his new look this time and will keep his original style once his baby fur grows out.

oh, you feed raw diet too?
do you prepare it yourself or just buy from the store?
I tried to feed raw and my dogs LOVE it so much
just that it's not very affordable and I switched them to dehydrated food
I really don't like shop owners saying things like you should groom your dog 3x/month or dog wears clothing is not only for cold weather but for fashion =_=;;;
that's why I don't usually go to chinese places for pet stuff. And I guess you know there's one chinese pet shop at empire center
I remember seeing one food bowl there that I recognized was the same one I bought at daiso, they were selling it for like $16

btw, I took my girl for a summer cut too
cuz it was getting hot, plus we are going to the beach more often during summer

Yeah, I feed my puppy raw food diet. I buy them from Tisol. A bit on the expensive side and mah fan coz got to defrost and have to keep cold with icepack if going out. But I want to provide the best for my kid! I like this brand of raw food because they are made with meat as well as veggies, also in all of the same sized patties for good portion control. Less bacteria and cleaner too. Do you find it makes a difference significantly with raw food vs kibbles? We found that his poo is much less and not as stinky too!

Nice haircut for your baby! I think it's good to get the hair shorter during summer time. It was so hot that my puppy lost appetite and won't eat for 2 wks! Had to force feed him! I made some chicken soup ice-cubes which he loves and wrapped a frozen bandanna around his neck to make him feel more comfy.

Oh, we've got his fur trimmed b/w his toes too. Less slippery on our floor and most importantly, the fur in b/w toes can soak up the pee pee which can be smelly, staining, and catches dirt or bugs inside.

I usually go to Tisol for food or petsmart for toys. I went to Daiso yesterday and got him a toy, a pin brush and a tent for camping with us. The same items in the above stores cost 3x ar! Oh, and I won't buy from Chinese pet supply stores for sure.

I take my dog to "Dog Avenue" for grooming. A bit more $ compared to the chinese ones but I like them the most outta all the previous ones I had taken my dog to.

I actually bathe my dog once every 7-10 days (and with tons of conditioning of course). It is actually recommended for Maltese. Poms are doubled-coated so I'm not sure how often you can bathe them (should be less I think)..I've heard once a week and I've heard once every 2 months for Poms....

作者: sko    時間: 2010-7-26 11:01

I like Bio-Groom's products for shampoo and conditioning: http://www.biogroom.com/

And for her face, I like Spa Lavish's Facial Scrub: highly recommended!

I probably know which one you are talking about....it's a white bag I guess?
it's not too muc to feed a small dog on raw diet cuz they don't eat as much
my friend who has 2 huskies and they were on raw too, but it's just hundreds on dollars each month plus they go to daycare almost everyday too, so it's just too much expenses and they had to cut down from the food...

yeah, it's less poo poo when on raw
because raw food (=fresh and unprocessed) is more easy for the body to digest, thus less remaining materials
dogs on raw also have better breath and siginificant skin improvement who was suffering from skin problems when on kibbles cuz kibbles just tend to cause a lot of problems sometimes since you never know what is actually inside and how it was actually made

the hair between the toes should be trimmed once in a while too
like you said, it makes them hard to walk on hard floor because they tend to slide with those hair (my girl even back-flipped while playing with the boy when she had just arrived to my house a few days LOL and I realized it was the hair on her paw too) plus it tends to hide many dirty things in there too
so it's good to keep those hair trimmed

I started going to petsmart for buying supplies too
cuz I always thought it was something very similar to petcetra
turned out, they actually carry some healthy treats that tisol also carries
plus some of their items are cheaper too

my dogs are bathed from as short as 2 weeks to as long as 2 months.......lol
it really depends on how dirty they get
usually bathed more often in the summer cuz we go to the beach almost twice everyweek

and in the winter they are not bathed as much since it's either raining all the time and they don't get to play outside as much
or it's snowing so they don't get really dirty from playing in the snow~

my girl went to Cilie's dog grooming on Cooney
it was recommended by my friend who also has a sheltie
but kinda pricey over there too >.<
it was $60 for this small girl, the owner said cuz sheltie is double coated and very fluffy (very true for my girl....)
so it takes lots of work to dry and brush, so more expensive lor
