One of my friend told me that there was a robbery scene at No.9 restaurant (lansdowne) last night at around 11pm.
Is there anyone eating there during that time?

It has been on the radio news since 6:00 am today.
" The target was the 30ish customers,
bandit was described as Cacausian with handgun, but the staffs at the restaurant refused to give detail"

Most Chinese restaurants accept credit cards. They always give you a printed receipt, even if you only eat of bowl of wonton noodles. But not all customers use credit cards.

I didn't say wonton noodle places accept credit cards. But even wonton noodle places give you printed receipts.

They would accept credit only for large take-out orders
and group dinning. Usually they set the minimum amount
at $10-$15

烈治文市著名夜店九記餐廳，周一深夜遭3個持槍匪徒行劫顧客及職員財物。
匪徒是由餐廳的後門闖進店鋪大堂。

卑詩烈治文市一家24小時營業的華人經營餐廳，周一深宵近午夜時份遭3持槍蒙面劫匪闖進行劫，匪徒以槍指嚇顧客頭部，並搶去客人和職員的財物。更如拍電影般，即場自行計算整個行劫過程，用時極短，3人約逗留一分鐘即示意「夠鐘」，乘坐汽車逃逸。而在行劫過程中，3匪完全沒有在意劫掠該店的收銀機，騎警稍後找到匪徒所乘汽車，未有人被捕，也無人受傷，而損失總額不詳。
發生劫案的九記餐廳是著名夜店，不少本地華人都愛光顧。該店位於烈市蘭斯頓商場（Lansdowne Mall），店內說明指收現金，記者周二前往查詢時，該店運作如常，一女接待員表示經理不在，她對店鋪被劫不知情。記者稍後致電找九記經理時，一個不肯透露姓名的女職員稱案件由警方調查中，店方不予置評。
案發於周一晚上近12時，當時約有顧客30人。3持槍蒙面匪徒從該店後門闖入廚房，再翻過燒臘部的櫃台闖入店鋪大堂，用槍指嚇顧客及職員劫去財物。但未知損失總額。
以英語迫顧客交出財物
其中一遇劫的女顧客，事後向傳媒講述案發經過時，猶有餘悸。她指其中一匪徒用槍指著她的頭，以英語迫她交出財物。幸好她的手袋掉到沙發處，未被匪徒發現。但同行一女性友人，則被匪徒劫去銀包和護照。
該女顧客又說，匪徒約只逗留一分鐘離去。匪徒走後，她因為驚魂未定，約有20分鐘時間，腦海未能組織出一完整句子。
令人奇怪的是，匪徒深宵打劫的目標只是一班食客和大堂的職員，而對於該店的收銀機，卻未打主意。
3健碩匪疑屬白人男子
另一令人詫異的是，3匪似事前精心部署，過程仿如精確計算過般。據悉，3匪身材健碩，疑是白人男子，行事「專業」，手法嫻熟。
有在蘭斯頓商場工作、熟悉九記店內通道的人士透露，該店正門裝設閉路電視，匪徒捨前門而借道後門進入，明顯欲避開閉路電視。此外，3匪一進店就開始計時，似要在預算時間內結束打劫。3匪當時逗留剛過一分鐘即互相示意「夠鐘」，並且同時「散水」。
不過，熟悉九記人士補充道，匪徒雖有計劃，但應不大熟悉店鋪環境，好像由廚房闖向大堂時，3人並不大識路，沒依正路走出去，而是翻過燒臘部櫃台躍出大堂。
騎警未有透露疑匪多少人
烈治文皇家騎警周二下午就本案召開了記者會，但只是簡述案情，甚至連案中共有多少疑匪都未有透露。
烈治文皇家騎警發言人特利（Sherrdean Turley）指出，警方周一晚上接到該劫案的報告，但在警員到場前，疑匪已乘一汽車逃去，稍後警方找到該車，事件中無人受傷。警方正就劫案展開調查，並且呼籲目擊者致電604-278-1212，向騎警提供線索。

everybody be careful, last time when I was in a Burnaby restaurant, a white guy came in with very suspicious attitude... he walked in, looked around everywhere (didn't look like 找人﹐ 像找架步 more) then leave, it was also Saturday or Friday 10ist ... I thought he was finding the right restaurant to rob, it was a few months ago.. anyway if you tend to eat after 10 pm outside should be very careful.

Which one I'm pretty interested to know.
Before, "Ho Tak Kee" accepts credit card as I remembered because they have lots of local Canadian customers. But it's folded as well...

In general, most larger dim sum restaurants accept credit cards. Especially when the value for lunch/dinner is bigger.

Those that don't accept credit cards, in general, are those smaller wonton noodle/congee places, and smaller Hong Kong style cafe places.

But then, it is hard to classify which restaurant is big or small.

They said there were video cameras at the front door and the cash register, and the thieves delibertly enter from the back, jump over the BBQ counter AND avoid the cash register area so they cannot be filmed.... So whoever did it obviously KNOW the place..

But why would the cooks and waiters just steal wallets from a bunch of customers?
