Anybody try this bakery before? It is located on 5036 Victoria Drive, Vancouver. Does it good? Is it pricy? Any suggestion?作者: 布小熊 時間: 2010-5-28 09:55
I personally like it. It's a Italian Bakery and a lot of ppl went to get bread from them. I got some pastry and found them nice. (but they are not light and fluffy as Chinese bakery goods)

I buy cannoli shells at Calabria bakery if I do not want to deepfry them myself.
It is old country bakery, nothing too fancy but standard Italian b aked goods.
They supply to many Italian restaurants and Italian deli shops too.作者: sheep 時間: 2010-5-28 14:55
Italian desserts are not overly sweet,
Biscotti is quite low in sugar and fat, only problem is too hard to sink your teeth in;
it is meant for dipping in espresso or vino santo.
Good Gelato is not too sweet. My favourite Italian pastry is cannoli stuffed with
fresh Ricotta.
Vine ripen strawberries with fresh ground pepper and Hand-whipped Chantilly Cream,
How about aged Parmigiano Reggiano drizzled with 25 years Balsamic vinegar?
Classic Italian dessert with no sugar at all.作者: 布小熊 時間: 2010-5-29 00:18

I don't know... I prefer western bakery over Asian bakery so I don't know if you think it's too sweet.
