Just happened to be on the news this month! It's Hamilton in Ontario!

The search area is near Barangas on the Beach restaurant, which is on Van Wagner's Beach Road near Lake Ontario.
Loyst said one problem is that the crocodilian isn't in an isolated pond. It's connected to a number of other ponds.
"It might not be in this particular part of this lake now. It could have moved on, is the problem. We were in this part of the lake last night when it was spotted, and we couldn't get in close enough to catch it," he said.
Loyst said a major part of the Indian River Reptile Zoo's function is to provide a home for abandoned reptiles that people once had as pets.
For him, this croc hunt is clear evidence that people shouldn't have such animals as pets.
"A dog or a cat is a pet, not a crocodile," Loyst said. "They grow out of your bathtub or aquarium very quickly."
Crocs are expensive for accredited zoos to house, he said.
"It just goes to show that people with exotic pets are not very responsible, and it's really sad," Loyst said. |
