Well, manay Canadian players from Hawks anyway .. so we should cheer for them!

not sure if it's a slang... but it's definitely pretty common
in this case the appropriate translation is kind of 運動精神

but used in other situation kinda has slight different meaning... but still means similar things..

for example.. you're at a party and you're not really not feeling up to dancing to stupid songs or join the stupid congo line.. and somebody might say to you~ come on ~ be a good sport and join in.. ...

反正就是比較像當正在發生或已經發生的某件事
不是你所期望或希望發生的..
你也欣然接受
go with it~ not bitter or sour about anything kinda thing.. XD

i'm sure someone can explain it better than i do XD.. but that's all i got
