which cable got good deal and better?

'cuz of I am using star choice satalite with HD channels and fairchild channel..$96 per month..a lot of people saying that I should change another company .. it's too expensive for me..

Sometimes it's hard to compare because they offer different channels in the packages. Mine is shaw and has almost all the news channel, sportsnet, a $5 for 2 extra channels package, fairchild, movie central and HD plus, adding the internet and taxes, the total is about $146.

I will said Telus! I used Shaw for over 10 years!! I'm sick of their service. This week, I can watch the Chinese Channel in the morning, but not at night! Something was wrong, but I can't even get touch with anyone via the phone!!!! I've waiting for over 30min, no matter Chinese or English, just nobody answer the phone!!!
I was thinking switch to Telus now! One of my friend just change it, she told me the service is excellent!
My Shaw bill was approx $80 included tax - included Basic, chinese channel, internet

I have the 3 services bundle:

1. Extreme-I
2. HD Basic + fairchild (absolutely want to get rid of it)
3. Digital phone lite

$120 tax in.

Thinking of ditching them all and switch to LightSpeed, and with no cable TV from now on.

LightSpeed package:
$40 6mbps 200Gb cap
+$10 for VoIP (similar to Shaw's, doesn't count towards the 200Gb traffic)

I'm using shaw, with regular (not lite speed or extreme) internet, TV channel up to 59 + fairchild, $112 w/ tax. No HD. I was hoping to lower that bill...

But if I switch to Bell, I need to purchase another 4 "boxes" plus the satelitte receiver...if I switch to Telus, do I need to buy hardware? Still, I don't want to switch my internet wor...I guess I'm stuck...

Service-wise...I guess I"m lucky...I can get in touch w/ Shaw CSR within reasonable wait time...

i am using bell tv. they give 30% discount on our total bill. seem like they do it to everyone who ask for it. the good thing is they are allow you to connect up to 6 tv without additional charge and you can watch the same channel in eastern time as well(sometimes work better for us). customer service is ok, after you make the change, they can send you a confirmation email. so at least you have proof. tech support, depends on your luck la, just don't get stupid one, but at least they are all friendly. sometimes, they route their service to east asia. i think bell said they have the most choices of hd channels and best quality of hd pic.
you may better wait for promotion. last time they are allow new customer to exchange another company cable box to their cable box. ( i think shaw has the same service as well) if you are using bell cellphone, you can get discount on both.
using telus internet, don't like their services, but hate shaw, so choice.

Star Choice is now Shaw, I am using their retention package which I pay about $85 (tax included), and that gives me regular TV, all regular HD channels, Chinese channel, Shaw Home Phone with LD, highspeed Internet and I am happy with them.

Their phone line is busy all the time, and they prompt you to go online and chat with them. Chat wait time is only like 5 min and they solve all my questions in an orderly fashion.

but I don't need phone line.. just want watch golf channel, hgtv, chinese channel, some regular channels, hd channel as well.. any other good deal??

I saw alot of people go with shaw's pkgs with enchance internet, hd recordable cable, home phone line for $90 included taxes..

I'm using Shaw with 3 services bundle for approx $113:
1. Internet lite
2. Digital phone lite
3. HD plus & chinese channels

I called Shaw this afternoon and told them that I'm moving and thinking to switch to another company. They offered me the same package + free long-distance in Canada & US + free digital box (they don't offer free HD box) for $78/month for 12 months. The guy was nice and willing to help out so I decided to stay with them. I will think about it after 12 months.

Telus is now competing with Shaw on the new Optik TV service, even it's not available in all areas but the speed bump on the line to 19M is just good.

2. Basic cable upgraded to full cable + basic HD + Asian TV Pack ($7.95)
3. Phone + unlimited Canada/US LD (useless to me)
4. Extra HD PVR

$87.95 + tax，慳左 $20 左右

I have these from Shaw:
1. Digital TV $60.95
2. High speed $35
3. Failchild and Talent $18.95. But Talent is now listed under Digital TV, not Multicultural channels.

Shaw does not list the items properly.
The bill shows:

Fairchild and high speed $107.95
Purchased modem discount $-5

I don't know how Digital TV + Fairchild + high speed is 107.95. They gave me a discount already?
Is there any way I can reduce the price?
If I get the Asian package (Fairchild + Talent + Phoenix) for $7.95 only?

Digital TV already includes HD Basic, but I only have a digital cable box, not a HD box, what should I do now?

the telephony modem has a battery last for about 4 hours
if shaw's network really screwed up badly, there would be NO cable tv, internet, and phone!
it happened to me last time black out

Many other places are better then here. You don't necessarily have to go to those places.
