Yeah .. good job ..  7 goal in 8 game ..  doesn't sound exciting .. however, they play fun and great football!

Many great players, but not one single footballer starts out a lots, (I would say their goalie is the best player) they won the WC with great team work!

They deserve the Title!!

Yeah! # 1 ranked team!

I fell asleep halfway but woke up in time for the Extra time goal....Good job Spain but also good job Netherlands for a hard fought game!

Yeah .. if just ONE chance .. ok .. goalie was good .. (poke check..lol)

Second time? just shoot ..  tip up high!

Well, same as Spain too ..  wasted many chance ..

Anyway.. done done done .. reasonable result.

Is it a good thing? Spain won? Why we have to be happy with them? =.=

Ole!! It was a great game but too bad I was in a Pub in Maple Ridge and there weren't any crowd to watch the game. We were the only table cheering for Spain.
The rest (a few tables) were Dutch fans and they were BIG biker guys. So I kept my clapping and "OLE" low.

Don't know if it's because I am really tired that day, I felt the game is kinda boring...

Yes.

I still wonder why people think Brazil is the best team.

Brazil is a team with BEST players, not best team.

(P.S team Spain is basically 1/2 Bercelona, one reason their team work is so good)

I am hoping this win will help them to bond and be united.
so.. it's half Catalan.

Brazil has the best players? you serious?

so Lucio is better than Puyol? Kaka is better than Xavi + Iniesta? Robinho is better than Villa? Gilberto Silva is better than Alonso? Julio Cesar is better than Iker Casillas?

On the other hand, I do think Brazil's teamwork is much better than teams like England or Argentina.  But their players just suck so bad.

Those who find this game boring better go back to watch NBA or NHL.  Football/soccer is not just about scoring.

Had Germany not tanked / threw their gloves in with the match against Spain, I'd definitely say the German team was much, much better than the Spaniards. Given the way the game was played, I really question whether that game was a fix up or not...

Rigged? Spain was way superior in every position.  Only noobs would think that Germany had any chance against Spain.  Soccer is not about how many goals you can score.

Aiya .. we all have different taste ..  can't really say who is better, who is not gei.. they are all world class footballers .. with sky high income .. lol

However,  fact is ..  Spain is the WC champ now, and they are also the # 1 ranked team. (Now, and on and off last ~ 2-3yr)

I mean in general, team Brazil has very best players ..  not just this year.

Well ...  anyway ..  people will "horse after cannon" now anyway ..  doesn't matter, but I always like Spain.

There is no doubt Spain whooped Germany's a$$ in the semi-final game, but up to that point, Germany was kicking a$$ left and right. (Ok, they cheated and should have lost to England, but that's another story for another day, and yes, I'm sticking to it! ) But when they arrived at the semi-finals, the entire German team was transformed into something else. They weren't defending right. They weren't controlling the ball in the mid field, and they most certainly weren't shooting. (15 vs 4 shots on goal = German FAIL). Instead, it almost seemed like the Germans just kept giving up the ball to Spain, waiting for the Spaniards  to pound on them.

Then once they were back at the bronze medal game, they came back to life again.

True, teams can have off days. But for the whole team to completely fall apart like that? Esp when Klose was this close to breaking the all time World Cup scoring records?! You can't help but think that something more sinister was in the works.

I found it rather boring not because of # of goals. When I see there are chances when the player tries to shoot but the "shooting" skill is not good enough, that I found boring...Yeah I know it's easier "said" than done...I have played soccer and I know it's not easy to play.

Do you really believe that Germany just had an off day? It's all about who you are playing up against.  Germany can play Spain 100 times and they will still lose 85 to 90 of them.  A lot of people who supported Germany simply looked at the results of their earlier games and deduced that they would crash Spain the same way but they had absolutely no idea how the spanish players are way more organized and technically superior.  That's how they lose money on their bets.

So in your opinion, I suppose the German victory against Argentina was just one of their "lucky days"?

The Germans surgically dismantled the Argentinians in an organized, orderly, and efficient matter, delivering one fatal blow after another. It is probably true that the Argentine defence was nowhere nearly as strong as Spain's, but the trio of Messi, Tevez, and Higuain was playing leagues better than Villa, Torres, and other Spanish offensive threats in the tournament. If the Germans could do this against Argentina, why the super sloppy form against Spain?

Did you even see how Messi, Higuaine and Tevez played vs. Villa Xavi and Iniesta? Other than Messi, if you think Higuaine and Tevez are better than any of Villa, Xavi and Iniesta, that's just sad.

The way Germany played against Spain was EXACTLY THE SAME as how they played against Argentina, minus the absense of Mueller.  It's just that Argentina and Spain are two different teams.

The average age of the Argentine defense is 30 while the average age of Spain is 27.  That's half of the story.
