官方《人民日報》(海外版)上周五(23日)以近乎一個整版的篇幅報道94歲的全國人大前委員長萬里的退休生活，指萬里堅持「不在其位，不謀其政，不問事、不管事、不惹事」的「五不主義」。

官報長文報道退休生活

萬里有時飲些茅台酒和啤酒，喜歡吃狗肉、羊肉，並自信可以活到100歲。

官方媒體一般對退休元老的生活狀?極少報道，這篇罕見的報道指出，1993年3月31日，從政近60年的中共黨和國家領導人萬里開始了退休生活。退下來的萬里除對自己堅持「五不」之外，還給自己作了3條具體規定：不參加剪綵、奠基等活動；不再擔任名譽職務；不寫序言不題詞。

報道稱，萬里現居中南海「含和堂」，他說，儘管現任領導層對他還很尊重，許多重要活動都還請他去參加，「但我考慮再三，基本上都沒去。我認為不去比去好。去了坐在哪裏？講不講話？講什麼話？許多情?不了解，講了人家聽不聽？這些都是問題。」

堅持五不主義一動一靜

生於1916年的萬里一日三餐，比較素淡，有時喝點茅台酒和啤酒。他在飲食上不挑剔，較喜歡吃狗肉、羊肉。中午飯後要睡一覺，晚飯後看電視，除新聞外他最喜歡看京戲。他除了看內地報章外，還閱讀港台報章。

萬里90大壽生日時向來探望的領導人說：「我的身體很好，這主要是得益於我長期堅持『一靜』(打橋牌)『一動』(打網球)，這兩項活動，只要堅持，我相信人是可以活到100 歲的！」

There is nothing wrong about it all. Even though we don't eat dogs, we should not force our so-called culture on other people. It is very undemocratic and arrogant to force our own culture on other people. Dogs are not endangered species like blue fin tuna.

Domesticating pets is not humane anyway, as animals should live with other animals, not humans.

As there are more and more pet dog owners in China, dog eating will be reduced over time. But it is just wrong to impose our culture on other people.

之前都講過好多次，食唔食狗肉本身並無任何問題。如果啲食用狗係養來食嘅話，咁同食豬牛羊又有乜野分別？

現今中國食狗肉非常唔掂嘅嘅原因係因為狗肉嘅來源同屠宰方法有問題。

领导人食嘅魚係由专人用疍黃同黃豆餵養嘅，同样，中南海自会有自家狗場培植高级狗隻供佢哋食用啦，唔通仲要喺街捉咩！

I think it's the western people who need to be educated to ACCEPT the different kinds of cultures that exist in other parts of the world. North American standards are not the only acceptable ones.

if a person is rise to eat, it is ok to eat human being?

You stupid moron, if they want to ban dogs, then it is another unreasonable policy. Since dog-eating is mostly a southern Chinese or Cantonese habit, the government is trying to ban dog-eating because the northern Chinese mostly view dog-eating as an example of undesirable habit of the southern Chinese.

What they should have done is to introduce regulations that govern the hygienic conditions of the dog farms. rather than ban dog-eating.

You stupid moron is wrong again. It is known that southern Chinese eat dogs and other animals more so than the northern Chinese. So there is a difference between north and south Chinese eating habits. Please learn more about eating culture before embarrassing yourself.

people don't eat human because it is not legal plus they have been educated not to eat human for so long. there are fewer and fewer eating human groups in the earth. it is just all about education. human is just another type of animal.
i won't put dog with cow, pig or... dogs save human life & dogs help human to complete his jobs much more often than other animals

I didn't say only southern Chinese eat dogs. But it is known that eating dogs is mostly a habit of the southern Chinese.
Human don't eat humans because we are the same kind and we have ethnics, while wild animals don't have ethics. Humans talks to each other while dogs can't talk to humans.
A dog is just an animal, just like a cow or pig. Traditionally, cows help the farmers plough the farmlands to grow rice, so cows help humans a lot.
Please stop imposing you so-called standards on other people. You are very undemocratic and rude in doing this.

Lik was too dumb to realize that, at the Shanghai expo, it was the Danish themselves( not the Chinese) who were swimming inside the Danish pavilion.
