It looks far on the map but it's only 20 minutes drive if you know the way - you have to get to the water to eat the oyster rite? They live in the sea!
Yes you can eat right there and you can buy bags of it home. The best months are those with an "R" like Septmber, October etc.作者: kimball 時間: 2010-7-30 07:57
Just a bit additional info on that oyster place - it has a store front but it is not a place for you to sit down and enjoy the oysters like in a restaurant. They will teach you how to open the oyster and you can buy & sample a few and that's about it. After all it is an oyster farm so not much facilities for tourists. Also if you want to buy them home it's better to buy it on the way back to Vancouver unless you have a large cooler with ice in your trunk. But the oysters are fresh and yummy.作者: manman530 時間: 2010-7-30 08:34

i went to Taylor's Shellfish Farm. 2182 Chuckanut Drive, Bow, WA 98232. about 20 mins drive from bellingham.
when i went last time, it was having some kind of festival so i could buy pre-opened fresh oyster and ate there. but it should be just selling but not opening during normal days. they have kumamoto, shigoku and pacific oysters that day. it was about a month or 2 ago.
