A warning to all parents NOT to stroll their baby stroller in Aberdeen parking lot in the weekend. 千萬唔好喺weekend帶baby去 Aberdeen ，因為大多數中國人都無common driving sense and common courtesy. 今日我一個人推着個stroller喺個排山倒海嘅停車場、前面跟着一個family、有大有細、全部都已經行埋一便，點知有架由一個二十多歲嘅八婆由我後面用好快嘅車速刷身而過、差好小好小就hit到我個stroller and baby. 我立刻走上前跟她理論、叫她有stroller and baby 就要小心、點知個八婆反而叫我小心D. 我已經跟着其他人行埋一便、又唔係左穿右chap,又跟着D車後面行、如果你hit 到我個baby, 我會即刻同你死個！

In Aberdeen parking you can meet the worst drivers in Lower Mainland.

Most C9's there are blind, especially in the weekend...

Surprisingly 今次個八婆不是c9、是一個20-30歲的女人、長頭髮、藍色雙門跑車、好驚訝一個咁嘅知識份子會咁缺德、差d車到BB、一D 抱歉或不好意思都無、仲覺得自己好啱、希望他曰佢唔好做人父母。
最可惜冇記住佢個車牌、唔係一定舉報佢！

Yeah Aberdeen's parking lot can be quite scary sometimes...especially when people are all just there trying to fight for spots. Sometimes they really don't see the other people who are walking!

you can see all kinds of drivers in aberdeen parking...I even saw some crazy guy doing burn outs then hammer on the brakes right away...then the next minute some cars blocking BOTH ways but not willing to yeild to each other, people fight for parking spots, etc

good luck and stay alert all the time!!!

Aberdeen is popular for the food court, and the restaurants, there are so many customers.
Daiso, and NCIX are popular. The grocery shop, and the cake shop are are also popular. That is why there are so many cars fighting in the parkade.

They designed the mall in HK way, which there isn't enough parking for the size of the mall at the beginning.
Also the design of the parking is retarded too, look at how narrow is the driveway....

Conclusion: QUIT THINKING IN CHINESE WAY! we are in Canada!!

The chinese guys pay for the International driving permit in China. Buying the license! Haven't touched a car.

Then, they are permitted to drive in Canada for a year from the date of issue.

Once you record down the license plate, you report to ICBC for record. It will remain as a blackmark for the driver.

Even few of my friends, with license here, they know how to drive, they drive in Canada .. but after they moved back to China, they just "BUY" their license .. even they have no problem to take the exam, and would pass anyway .. but when most people "BUY" their driver licence anyway .. why bother to take the exam??

(Q: so CHINA driver license can transfer to Canadian driver license? no need to do road test/exam anymore?? )

You moron, the Aberdeen parkade was designed by Canadian architect company, not Hong Kong architect.
The "chao" at Aberdeen is due to the design. There is no underground parking levels due to Richmond soft soil. But the large number of cars is due to the popularity of Aberdeen.

Most of the old ppl won't return because of :
1) $$$$
2) Lack of parking.

they aimed for the scale of metrotown yet only have 1/3 of their parking. that's why they fail.
Daiso signed a big contract with them for a very high price at the beginning and regret right after.
there is empty in the mall yet you still need to fight for parking, then you know how FAIL is the design.

Aberdeen is much smaller than Metrotown. Anyway, business at the mall is bustling. Now with the Canada Line, you don't have to drive.

Fairchild could have invested the money from selling the Cambie land, into some other real estate development. I think they could have made much more money and more quickly.

But they invested in Aberdeen center, for the good of the Chinese community.

講shopping，除咗daiso，真係無乜好shop。parking其實ok，可能我去嘅時間無咁多人掛。

Yeah grocery is good there but it's not for FUN! For grocery I can also go T&T/Yaohan.
NCIX I don't SHOP there. I preorder online and go pickup there.

Yes Aberdeen is a nicely built shopping mall. Very spacious inside but that's about it.

And I miss the bowling place in the old aberdeen....
其實有無人知點解唔起番個保齡球場？以前嗰個都幾旺場個喎。宜家要去到silver city咁遠，而且嗰到成日都滿。

Besides Daiso, I think the other good thing is that it includes a Kids indoor playground thing...like go-banana...
So that place attracts some local ...(I mean...Caucasian).

There are couple restaurants there.

要買asian style嘅衫，我可以去parker place。仲多舖頭選擇。
要買computer，ncix都係去pick up。要買grocery／bakery，我會去Aberdeen，不過買完half an hour就會走囉。

宜家其實度度都係咁，特別係weekend夜晚行knight北行大家覺唔覺得好似比往年有night market果陣多車左﹖仲要好多都係舞龍咁！唔止唐人架，好多人依然渣車講電話仲要片黎片去，打左燈cut埋右線，無啦啦o係你前面收到慢一慢想轉又唔轉果D 多的是！

總之司機同行人都要打醒十二分精神，無謂俾人累。

I've seen it the other way though... some mothers used their baby stroller as 開路車﹐no matter how bad the situation or how crowded it is, she would push the baby in between to make room for herself or themselves, sometimes even treat the stroller as a threaten to the driver, with the message:"夠膽就車埋例啦“sort of attitude... I was like

A while ago, I went to a store which had a big shoe sale. The store was so crowded and there were a few young moms crazy about trying out shoes, pushing the strollers around narrow but packed with shoppers aisles, left the babies in the strollers. The bottom bag of the strollers became the moms' shopping buggy.

I felt bad for those babies, even I felt chocked as the store was so packed with people no need to say the babies in the strollers were near the ground, with other people squeezing around picking and trying out shoes.. definitely not a safe and healthy place to go with your bb

Actually, it's hard to find parking everywhere in Richmond. Seems Canada line didn't make the situation better

Thank god I was in the mall during the weekdays (mon to wed) so I didn't have a hard time to find parking.
