I think it really depends on what stage you r in your life. If you are still in school, maybe $0 is not unreasonable.  If you just started working, 2-5k is not a bad amount already.

Base on what I have in the bank and how much loans I got... I think I need a negative number.

NET INCOME FOR RAINY DAYS (OR SNOWY DAYS)。

3 months is reasonable if you are working full time and not going to school. It'll be hard to have that amount if you live on ur own.

While that's the most common recommendation that is being touted all over the place, what is the rationale behind it though? Depending on your line of work, 3 months may or may not be enough to get b ...

or maybe it's just a nice number to use? haha... it really varies ga wor.
3 months could be 3-5k for someone, and could be 300-500k for the other! haha...

depending on you expense right? If you live with your parents, no car loans or stuff like that, why do you need that much for rainy days in your account? Lock your $$ and do some investment instead la. If I have mortgage, or I live by myself, then you'll need a lot more la!

Could one count the RRSP as money for rainy day ?
If not, mine is  -0- ,   its pretty hard to save 3 months gross income and put aside as cash. So many bills to pay these days.
