Hi, long time no see here!
Too bad old LYK's photos are gone of all my crochet and clay projects. I can upload and share them if anyone wants to see.

Here's my latest bbq house project. Almost finished la.

Whenever I add photos (within size limit of course), it will bring me to a blank page saying "Done" but nothing shows up after.... Tried 10x already la...

Make sure your file size is small, and the dimension is not too big.

check your pixel size. i'd try to keep it under 600x600.

I use clay, oil paints, textured materials/surface to imprint the skin-like texture. It's really quite difficult to explain as lots of it comes with skills and practices. Alot of the tools are recycled things. There's no set rule or limitations to making them ga.

Lol, I just use my multi-purpose table! I used it as a desk for my computer, eating, playing board games, etc.

Thank you for your complement. I will load more when I have time. I've posted lots of pix in the old LYK site but they are now gone...

and I don't have time to load again.

yeah, you can totally open a store and beat down the new miniature store @ aberdeen!
their's is so expensive! ..haha...

but i've collected some myself....lol...i like collecting sweets & desserts =)

It's definately very hard to earn money with it. I am very picky and a perfectionist. I ended up spending extra time and energy into making them. After I make them very pretty, I don't want to sell them nei. Hehehehe. I will put your suggestions into thoughts though.

For this project, I'd say the materials costed me about 50. I took a class in HK and the class is about 120.

I make miniatures. So it's pretty small ga! Is that what you'd like? Only 4 days left, it's pretty tight. PM me la. I will see what I can do to get you one and how much to charge.

I learn most of them in HK. You can buy books from Yes Asia. This is my Link:

There is one teacher in Van. I learned a couple of lessons from her before. However, I didn't like her. So I learn when I go to HK only.

Wendy, sorry for the late reply. I just came back fr. honeymoon.

To answer your question:

1. I learned this in HK so I don't know where you can learn in Van for "wood" work in specific.

2. Which teacher did you learn from in Van? I had a teacher too but quit because I don't like her. i wonder if it's the same teacher we had.

3. When I go to HK to learn, I don't bring my tools either. And the trips are always not long enough to learn the entire project. So I have to have shorten their 4 weeks course to 1 day. Within that 1 day, I try to memorize everything and make tthem when I come back to Van.

4. Yes, you know how expensive some of the tools and materials are! I totally hear you!

Wendy, did you manage to go to hk again? I will be going in May. This time I will be learning from another teacher who's style is different. Which teacher did you learn from in Van?
