RCMP say the body was found by passers-by

Be the first to Comment 3 Recommendation(s) SURREY (NEWS1130) - The Integrated Homicide Investigation team is in North Surrey this afternoon, after a body was discovered in a grassy area by some Hydro towers near 93rd and 138th street.
Randall Marquardt with Surrey RCMP says it was discovered over the noon hour. "A couple of people walking through the cut line there, where the hydro wires run through a grassy, sort of park area. And they came across what they believe to be a body. Our members attended and confirmed that in fact it was a body under suspicious circumstances."
Marquardt can't say right now whether it's a man or a woman, how long it had been there, or how the person may have died.
Investigators will be at the scene well into the evening searching for evidence.
