From what I heard, the price of eye test is standard. Is this not true?

I'm switching from one place to another where I'm charged $100. The old place charges me for $75.

I really wonder what does the $25 difference do.

Not sure.. but I went to Iris in Oct and they charged me $95.

My Optometrist charges $75 as well. I go to the one in Metrotown.

I haven't had one for a while but the last time I took the eye exam it was $85 I believe. Because my insurance only covered $75 and I remember I had to pay an extra $10 out of my own pocket.

Usually, with this type of extended healthcare fees, the respective association sets out a recommended fee, and healthcare providers set their own rates based on this recommended rate.
