Vancouver Island had its first big snowstorm of the fall during the weekend. Now, it’s about to get cold.
More snow was forecast across the island overnight Sunday through to Monday, and temperatures were expected to dip below the freezing mark.
In Victoria, expect lows of -1 Celsius Monday, according to Environment Canada. On Tuesday the mercury could drop as low as -6 C, and Wednesday might be the coldest day of the week, with forecast lows of minus -8 C.
Nanaimo residents can expect Tuesday and Wednesday to be the coldest days of the week, with Environment Canada forecasting sunny skies and lows of -9 C.
