I want to see if I can find Inaniwa udon in Metro Vancouver. I am pretty sure that places like T&T don't have it.
How about Fujiya or Isumiya? Other Japanese food retail?
Yeah I don't want to get it from a restaurant. I've had them in a few restaurants and I like their texture.
Thanks!!

You should try to find out from where the restaurants got them. Just ask the chefs there.

回復 5# sheep

Come on sheep, take it easy... we are not in the newsgroup...

Anyway, back to the noodle topic. Different cultures have different receipts, I can't tell if one is better than the other or vice versa. In my experience, almost all fresh made noodles taste good (more 'Q' in texture), don't you agree?

Inaniwa Udon... I can't remember I see somewhere you can buy... Will try shopping in the weekend and see...

Try the new Japanese supermarket Izumiya on Alderbridge way.    They might have it.
Good luck!

Thanks winewine.
But no they don't have it. I was looking for fresh inaniwa udon and I don't think any store carries it. Actually it's hard to find fresh regular udon here. I mean the real fresh ones not the frozen ones.
I ended up getting dried thin udon (not sure if it's inaniwa) from Fujiya which wasn't bad.
btw Izumiya has been around for a few years (4?) but it just recently expend. I hope that they fill their new empty space with MORE food from Japan.
