2 Comment(s) 2 Recommendation(s) METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The investigation took almost a year and police are still looking for one more suspect, but RCMP have arrested three men accused of running a sophisticated crime ring.
RCMP describe the suspects as well-groomed and unassuming.
They're accused of break-and-enters in middle and high-end homes from Burnaby to West Vancouver, and being involved in fraud.
Burnaby RCMP Sergeant Andy Leclair says they ran a savvy operation even when police had their eyes on them. "We even found ourselves the subject of counter surveillance at times. Another interesting thing is that these are not old individuals. These are individuals are young men, 20, 21 years of age without extensive criminal backgrounds."
He says the three were arrested last week after they went on a bit of a buying spree. The trio has been charged with more than 30 offences.
The arrested men are; 20-year-old Van Huynh of Burnaby, 21-year-old Daniel Justin Coletta of Coquitlam, and 20-year-old Hyung Suk Kim.
Police are still looking for 20-year-old Ryan Matthew Christensen
