San Jose's first period attack leads to a win at the Tank

0 SAN JOSE, CA (NEWS1130) - Patrick Marleau scored twice in a three goal first period for San Jose, as they defeated the Canucks in Game Three 4-3. Burrows, Hamhuis and Bieksa all scored in the third period to make it close.
Vancouver still has a 2-1 advantage in the Western Conference Final.
The Sharks were up 3-0 after the first and second periods. Alex Burrows scored 69 seconds into the third, but Dan Boyle scored San Jose's third power play goal of the game to make it 4-1, five minutes later.
The Canucks received new life, when San Jose's Jamie McGinn took a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding Aaron Rome near the middle of the final frame. Dan Hamhuis and Kevin Bieksa scored on the power play to make it respectable. Bieksa has a goal in each game of the series.
Late in the first period, McGinn knocked defenceman Christian Ehrhoff out of the game on a shoulder-to-shoulder hit.
The referee's handed out 17 power plays, with the Sharks receiving 10 opportunities with the man advantage.
Marleau finished with two goals and an assist. Joe Thornton added three helpers.
