有無人知道邊度有整假指甲比較便宜﹐手工又好的﹖我見好多商場裡面有﹐但一般收得好貴呢。。。

大家有無相熟又整得好的﹖同埋﹐整完假甲打字或洗碗會唔會好麻煩架﹖一般可以保持幾耐架﹖

I've never done fake nails before, but most of my friends who have done it multiple times don't even suggest starting it.. it's super damaging to your real nails. :S

they file down the surface of your nail so much that it's very damaging. for me, i've done acrylic nails...and the first night, my nails feels kinda numb/slight pain due to the heavy filing & the artificial stuff stuck to it.

it's pretty when it's new. but for me, maybe i'm too rough, or have too much stuff to do la...it's not convenient for me with long nails.

& removing them is a pain in your @$$ because you have to go back to get them removed, which, costs too. unless, you're willing to "pak" it off yourself

My friend had fake nail before...and she said she bought some solvent (kit to remove those nail) from London Drugs..so those plastic will just "melt" in those liquid. But it takes almost 2 hours to remove all... I'm sure I won't do it...

Talking about nail...I patiently wait for my nail to grow and finally it's long enough to put on some nail polish...then because of the plan to go bowling...I trim all the nail....then the bowling got cancelled!!

im so surprised that my nails are so long now. they usually start breaking and chipping since im so careless with them.

but now that they're long enough, i keep wasting my time on time. @_@ and then i started doing my mom's and sis' nails too.

btw, i was tempted to cut them for the typing speed application' on facebook. LOL. but nah... suen la.

fibbi: poor thing :S make them go bowling again soon!

Sko: Can't make them go again soon la...they are leaving today (going back to Sweden)...oh well.

And for those who wants the nail polish to last longer, base coat and top coat is a MUST!

Before I don't use base coat ga...but one time, I have put on nail polish and keep it for almost a month. (put top coat every 2 or 3 days). So after I remove the nail polish...my nail has those colour stick on it too! It's like the colour go inside the nail...From then on, I put base coat all the time la..to protect the nail from this colour chemical that can actually go inside the nail...

Back to the original topic...my friend did her fake nail in Chapter's mall in Richmond. Last about 1.5 months.

i just want something that makes my nails grow faster & stronger. mine chips. & it chips like.... a thin layer on top chips off lor. if you know what i mean...causing it to be really thin. drives me insane.

oh yeah i hate the taking off the color part, so ma fan. perhaps the basecoat will help with that~

Alc: how about soy milk? there is some calcium added soy milk too.

And if you want to "protect" your nail, when you wash dishes, put on gloves...

i drink soy milk too... well, i have one yogurt @ work everyday for breakfast lor... when i do dishes, i always use gloves geh~
maybe i'm just not that healthy period.

cus my nails are just naturally thin.

today, i trimmed my nails down again. *sigh*

How do you keep the same nail polish on for 1 month?
My nails grow so fast that after 5 days, you can see the separatin between the color and the newly grown nail at the base... then I have to remove everything and color again.. so ma faan!!

I have tried the fake nails from Shoppers Drug Mart. They are easy to apply and actually quite pretty!! But I just used them for the night and had to take them off. It was very inconvenient for me as I wear contact lenses. Cannot take my con off without the fake nail scratching my eyeball!

take calcium supplements maybe?
my doctor told me that about 90% of females need to/should take calcium supplements

or maybe apply cuticle/nail/hand cream! or vitamin e oil..~

it's not great to have polish on for too long anyway...
i have polish on for 1 week max.. and i leave my nails bare for at least 1 week before applying new polish on..

i've never had artificial nails done =( i kinda want to but it'd be so inconvenient...

Alcoholic...I think your condition is like peeling or spliting? If som you are like mine, I have very thin nails and they bend very easily.

Basecoat is a must because it protects your nails and prevent them from turning yellow.

To make nail polish last longer, you can use a nail file to sand down the surface of your nails gently, then, apply. If you use basecoat, sand the surface after you put on base and before color.

Fake nails. Personally, they are great for those who have a hard time growing/keeping their nails to the desired length. I love how they look when they are newly done but hate them when my real nails start growing out. I will eventually have to pay to remove them. The last time however, I just keep clipping and filing them instead of paying to get them removed. I use clear polish (extra think layers on the real nail that grows out) so they look more even. Turned out to be ok so I don't have to go through the pain and waste money.

Applying/removing fake nails don't neccessary hurt unless your nails are very thin and the artist is unprofessional.

The store at metro is expensive and not very pro. Sorry to say but I hate it when they do your nails but keep looking around (daam tin mong daay) and talk loudly with their coworkers in Vietnamese.

A full set of Acqualic or gel nails cost approx 35 but lots of times, you have to pay additional things like Polishing, French manicure, Gel overlay (make them shinny), Designs, etc. I usually end up paying around 50-65.

How long they last depends on how fast your natural nails grow.

BTW, girls, what brand or color do you like for nail polish? I like OPI and Anna Sui

Oh no, I paid $50 for a set! It really makes the nails shiny for a week!I really like it!....better than nail polish!

you can find those at dollar stores too~ and they still work~

To make your nails stronger and grow faster: You may try those special nail polish from Sally Hansen. There are different types for thin nails, strengthen your nails, make your nails grow faster, etc... I have never tried that before, since I am 得天獨厚, my nails are so hard that I can use my long nails to cut scotch tapes, open 益力多 plastic package, etc

For nail store, I like the one on Burrard and Davie St. Although it's a little bit difficult to find parking, they do a good job. The girls treat your nails with care. Unlike some other places, they cut the cuticle so deep that made it bleed. Or they scrub my feet as if scrubing toilet tiles!

I tried those nail filing sponge too....... however, I don't like it. cuz it makes my nails very thin, and they start chipping afterwards
