NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A North Vancouver man who spent the last three-and-a-half years in a Mexican prison is back home with his family. Pavel Kulisek has always insisted on his innocence.
Kulisek was on vacation with his wife and kids back in 2008 when he struck up a friendship with a man who shared his passion for dirt biking. As they were chatting at a hot dog stand, police stormed them and arrested them both.
It turns out he was standing next to a member of a drug cartel and police thought they were working together.
The case never went to trial. This week a Mexican judge threw out his charges over a lack of evidence
