VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Call it road-racing rage; there's no shortage of angry comments on this website after a group of young drivers was busted speeding in high-end, exotic sports cars along Highway 99.

md writes, "Who provided these idiots with these cars? They're idiots too! You can't buy respect. Unbelievable, and lucky no one got hurt or killed. Suspensions for all, cars sold. Proceeds to education."

Thirteen young drivers are facing charges after a group of exotic cars took over the highway south of Vancouver on Wednesday. They've been fined and have to pay impound costs.

There were three 2010 Lamborghini Gallardos, a 2007 Ferrari 599, a 2009 Audi R8, a 2012 Nissan GT-R, two 2010 Nissan GT-Rs, two 2010 Maserati Turismos, a 2011 Mercedes SL6, a 2011 Mercedes SLS, and 2005 Aston Martin DB9.

"What about some jail time for these wannabes?" writes an enraged grandmother. "They threatened the lives of hundreds of people! What about suspending their right to drive for at least 5 years til they have graduated from the diaper stage to something resembling adulthood?"

Vin Diesel writes, "What kind of penalty is a fine? The costs mean nothing to kids who can afford $200K sports cars."

Another commenter says, "The parents of these children need to be penalized too for their lack of judgement in allowing children to drive powerful vehicles without a valid drivers licence."

Really have to say a case of jealousy of the rich. I'm sure 死靚仔 do stupid stuff on the street all the time in their POS beaters all the time. 200km or more easy. Always stories of Yaris doing 200km, which is a lot more dangerous than 200km in these cars... You never even hear these on the news unless someone died as a result of it.

Any one died here? Noope. The only reason for the reverb is cuz of the price of the car, and lazy people being jealous of the rich. I'm not jealous of them. I am just saddened that parents as rich as their's is, with immense resource is not able to better teach their kids. And unfair wealth distribution in todays society. But for those who did make the money, deservedly or not, they have full right to use it however way they want, including buying bling cars for their kids.

And these kids? They should be treated just like any other kid street racing/going way above the speed lim, etc. Jealousy shouldn't play a factor in how they should be punished. That's what the law is for.

Street racing or dangerous driving results in car impound. That applies to every one/car. Does they received anything different because of their cars or wealth? I don't see any. They just get news exposure as extra.

I don't understand how it is being concluded as a jealousy of the rich. Who? The police? Or the highway user that reported to the police?

I don't understand the jealousy too.
I think it got more attention because they are expensive cars.
They block a section of busy rush hour hwy for racing. ??
If they do it in the middle of the night, they may be able to get away with it.
Or .. better, they could just do it in a proper race track.

At least they respect the system and put the UGLY N SIGN on their nice cars. They are not entirely bad people. Just kids~~~

The way the police handled it I have no problem. It's the opinion of people calling in and the media attention attained, which reflects pure jealousy over objective analysis.

The highway users who called in were just jealous. They should thank the kids for putting on a nice parade so that those highway users can see those sports cars moving together.
