At 蘭桂坊, it is another Chui chow chef? Is he from Fraser Street Chui Chow restaurant?

They will seperate the orders into HK style and chiu Chow style.
If you order both HK style and chiu Chow style, you are paying two different bills.

i've been to JC Kitchen for lunch. their 泡飯 was pretty good and the portion was quite large (around 4 people to share). just a heads up: their other dishes tend to be on the smaller side. prices are slightly above average. i would go there more often except it's sorta out of the way.

Conclusion: Quite pricey for its portion. Boss said no MSG, but we found them overly salty on average.

Nope, not going back again.

I never liked that Fraser Street Chui Chow restaurant, so I am not going to try this one.
Anyone know where the chef of the ex-VIP Kitchen (West Van) is right???

Have you tried the Chiu Chow duck?

I tried the marinated duck, and some other marinated food. nothing speical. A bit on the salty side.
Also tried, 反沙芋, 兩面黃, both are disappointment.

Their oyster pancake, pepper pig stomach soup, lemon 烏頭 and the 川椒雞 are excellent though.

But over all, a bit on the expensive side. Went with my family comes down to about 40 per person. because we had the cold crab, and we did have a lot of food.
