Took these pictures at my church, it was all shot with overhead celling light agaist a stage which is normally use for youth programs.

60D on a 85 1.8. I normally shoot full frame, but sold my2 cameras for about a year. I was going to wait for the new FF, but bought the 60D for temporary use for my up coming trip in BJ.
As for the photos, posted here, a big part of it is luck, my son is pretty good with looking at a camera. But then the dark background help. The lighting was actually not very good. They were just typical fluorescent celling light like a classroom.

I am going to a trip and won't be going to my local church for another 4 weeks, but will take a picture of how the setup looks like when I come back, so that you can see it.

The colour of the picture is just excellent.

May I ask a question, no offence. Did you find the focus point of some of the pictures is not on the face of your son. It is fall on the costume where is near to the camera. For example: 0127 0129 0119. Is there any known focusing issue for 60D?

If fact, that was the case. That a big problem with camera that only the center focus works well. I used to shoot 1D FF, and have a desposit on a 1Dx, which probably won't be available until Apri.

For average user shooting f/4 or f/5.6 is usually not as big as a deal, but not when you are shooting 1.8 / 2.

Children photos can be difficult, since those moment last only the .1 of a sec =D

In some cases, yes. It really depends on the needs/wants.

I would have kept my 5Dm2, if it isn't because the AF is just the same as the other cheaper Canon. In many cases, Nikon Mid level DSLR are much better on AF.

As for me, not much choice at this point, since I already invested on both lenses and speedlite.

I quit doing wedding in 2011, and with the new camera, I think I should do a wedding ro 2 again to cover the cost..

PS: if the new 5Dm2 replacement has good AF points selection, I think I will go with it instead.., so I'll just wait and see if it get annouced with good spec before my 1Dx arrives.

Yeah .. would be nice if Canon make a EOS3D ..

I wonder what they will call for the big MP version of the 1Dx .. 1DXs ??

What is the US street price for the 1Dx? Just see if I should pick one up from US or HK ... $7K cad here is a bit steep ..

Can it be fixed by re-calibration by Canon? or 先天性問題，無得醫？
T3i, or 7D has a better focusing system?
It is very difficult to avoid using 1.8/2.

LOL.. brain yes.. eye.. I think I work with computer way too long daily.. and my eyes funtions like a 80yrs old
