I got the 30mm lens for the xpan after I got back. It's definitely a very unique camera.

Lo_pak.  All photos here is with sigmalux 50mm 1.4.  It is sweet if you like 50mm.

When I first saw your Mini-photos.  I thought it's a photo of a motherboard with heatsink and other components   I am probably too tire, since I am working my 13th hours today.

The hardest thing is to find a consistency and signature. 99.99% of the stuff out there are so generic that you can't tell from one to the next. But I know it doesn't come quickly. I will give myself another 5 years to develop.

My only complaint about this camera is the min focusing distance.  It means that I can't do any close up.  (But even if I can, I probably wouldn't have enough light to shoot at f11.)

The lens is fixed. There is no wider option.

Not sure what you mean by "point of interest"

Usually I meter it at 125 or 100 with my eyes.  Given a margin of error of 1/3 of a stop, it could be anywhere from 80 to 160.

I don't use a meter or auto exposure unless the lighting condition is very difficult.  Usually outdoor it's either sunny (15 EV) slightly cloudy (13EV) or very cloudy (11.5-12 EV)

When a shot is underexposed, the color becomes more saturated when you scan. Sometimes it's great for the shot sometimes it's not. My keep rate for 6x6 now is about 50%.

Nope. Still the GF670, on slightly expired (2010) Astia 100 film. Natural light/vignette and direct scan.

My Hassy only arrived yesterday. It's gonna rain or snow this weekend so I will need to wait till next week to bring her out.

I actually don't like the pro 400 at all.  It's too "realistic". i.e. It doesn't wow me at all.  It's like watching television.  On the other hand, the Astia pops right out of your screen and screams at you. And if you view it with one eye only, you can see a separation between the subject and the background.

and overexposing 3 stops is in general not an issue. You just need to work hard when you scan to recover the highlights. But how often do you overexpose rather than underexpose? With f5.6 or f8, the chance of overexposing is really low.
