商戶售煙秘不示人 煙民如常吞雲吐霧 2008年4月1日  

【明報專訊】省府新修訂的禁煙條例昨日正式生效，於新例之下，巴士站、公共場所室內及近辦公大樓門窗及通風口處吸煙都被禁止，香煙零售商也不能將香煙放在當眼處出售。省府官員表示，執法方面以投訴作為主導，當局會於接到投訴後發出告票。

為了減少吸煙省民數量，省府於3月31日正式收緊禁煙條例，而溫市政府也於同日推出新修訂的禁煙附例，餐廳內外全面禁煙，露天茶座及吸煙房也不例外，業主若違規將面臨2500元罰款。

昨日市面所見，大部分香煙零售商遵守新例。不少大型連鎖店將一向放香煙的貨架拆除，改而裝上密封的儲物櫃。而一些小型便利店因拆貨架換儲物櫃的費用太昂貴，所以改用黑布遮掩貨架。

小商店店員Jony表示，長遠來說也會擔心香煙銷售量會下跌，因為有一些顧客會因為見不到各牌子的香煙展示眼前而不買，也會有顧客誤以為商店不再出售香煙而到別處光顧。

至於煙民方面，似乎就較不受新例影響。雖然不少餐廳的露天茶座見不到煙民，但在辦公大樓外仍然可以見到有人吸煙。他們都表示，知道市府禁止於辦公大樓門窗外6米範圍內吸煙，但因為覺得很難憑空量度6米距離，因此只會在被要求不在門外吸煙時才會不吸煙。

溫哥華沿岸衛生局(Vancouver Coastal Health)的地區總監(衛生保護)洛斯托(Nick Losito)表示，當局並不會主動派員調查違例人士，只會在接到投訴後才跟進和發告票。

It is greate... smoke makes me dizze whenever I walk close to people who are smoking. I cannot stand the smell.

溫哥華吸煙情況不嬲唔算好嚴重﹐係 DOWNTOWN 差D 唧。。。不過有D人專門企響餐館門口的當風位置吸煙又真係好乞人憎﹐我地試過有次食餐飯好地地﹐忽然有人企響門口食煙﹐聞到個個無晒胃口﹐浪費大好菜式。

good, I hate that when people smoke in front of restaurant's door/entrance.  I always carry my baby and walk faster when I see people smoking there.

you known at school (sfu).. students are smoking on the grass area... with treees...
... iono.. but i think that can cause a forest fire... but even soo sfu WONT go on fire.. it is made out of concrete -__-"
