I just installed Skype onto my Win7 desktop PC at home. I am in Canada and if I want to contact my buddy in New Zealand and, do I need to pay if my friend is using Skype too ?

電腦 call 電腦 = 全世界免費

電腦 call 手機或 landline = everywhere 都要比錢

電話 call 電話 = 自己電話 plan

Don't need to pay if both of you are using, ie. Skype to Skype.

Yeap. Just find out his Skype account and call free with Skype to Skype.
I think their Skype out is reasonable. I paid ~$3 a month for unlimited N. America Skype out. I can call any N. America phone number. I also use this subscription when I visited other countries. As long as I can find some wifi connection, I can call home for free.

聽起來很不錯﹐ what about calling HK or Taiwan? Any similar plan?

They don't have any unlimited plan for Taiwan.

I rarely call HK/Taiwan/China. So I don't see the need for that. I think for those countries there are cheaper way to call.

我就多數用Nimbuzz, 因為可以consolidate 晒MSN, Facebook, Yahoo 同埋google talk...
如果有download apps, 仲可以用手機講...

我反而想知有無網站可以send free (或者好少$啦) sms 去香港手機...
(我知呢個世界有樣野叫whatsapp, 但我講緊sms...)
